At the heart of the dispensing system is the completely updated Scheugenpflug ProcessModule PM8000 axis system in combination with Enso.Dispense software on the new Atlas Copco common control platform.
Thanks to functionalities such as on-the-fly dispensing and synchronized coupling of axis and dispensing speed, even complex contours can be handled with high dispensing quality and minimum cycle times. Dispensing speeds reach new levels in combination with the DP8000 2C dispensing unit. Maintenance is quick and easy. Valves can be changed without the need for tools and axis belts can be easily replaced, which means that plant availability is improved.

It is very rare in any production setting for dispensing to be carried out in isolation. Bonding, joining or fastening may also be involved, depending on the application. This is where the new “Atlas Copco Common Control Platform” principle comes in – a unified hardware and software solution that standardizes control, interfaces and user experience across all the controls for joining technologies, dispensing, flow drill fastening and self-piercing riveting.
The result is end-to-end networking and communication, for example with OPC UA or with Atlas Copco ToolsNet8 software which can be incorporated within an integrated production environment (ecosystem).
At the same time, the platform architecture is designed to meet future requirements – especially in terms of cyber security – for each of the currently integrated technologies.

Whether large quantities or complex applications are involved, this new system solution addresses multiple challenges in modern series production. It can handle abrasive TIMs, increase productivity through high axis acceleration and precise high-speed dispensing, and significantly reduce material losses. A direct comparison with the standard version of the Scheugenpflug PM803 reveals the power of this innovation. Process time is reduced by more than 50% and material waste is only 0.2 liters, corresponding to savings of around 70%. At the same time, the system offers improved and documentable dispensing quality – a game changer for demanding electronics potting applications in series production.
