At this customer site terminal, vessels with a capacity of over 40.000 tons arrive every day. Compressed air conveys up to 180 tons/ hr to and from the storage silos to these ships or trucks in a very cost efficient way.
Therefor, reliability of the compressed air system is of vital importance as in case of shutdown of the compressors, 80% of their production would end.
4 Atlas Copco oil-free screw ZE 4 compressors with integrated aftercooler and each with a volume of upto 3000 m³/hr ensure fluent pneumatic conveying process and prevent the blockage of the materials at an efficient way. The right mix between cement and air particles ensures the right level of fluidity and prevents clogging of the material.
Moreover, additional energy savings are gained by recovering the heat of the compressors to heat-up the work place of this plant.
