Antwerp, Belgium, March 28, 2014: The day before new year’s eve, Atlas Copco Rental Italy received a phone call from one of the biggest pharmaceutical industries in the country because one of their main air supply broke down. For a company producing on a 24/24 - 365 days basis that’s certainly a big problem.

Because of the holiday period it was difficult to find available equipment and transport.
For sure a lot of companies are closed or working with minimum resources on a 30th of December in Italy and, to make things worse, heavy transport trucks are not allowed on the roads for the entire day. But, thanks to the efforts of the few who were working that day, the local Atlas Copco Rental team found a PTS Oil-free air compressor with air hose and a truck available for transport.
After a fast delivery, the PTS arrived at the customer’s site, where it was installed and our rental service engineer was ready to start it up and ensure production could resume at once.

Recently we received a letter from the customer: “I want to express my sincere gratitude for what you did. Despite all the difficulties because of the end of year period, you managed to find a rental compressor and transport. Given the timing and the traffic block for heavy traffic, that was not easy.”
The letter continued: “I realize that you have worked very hard to give me your personal help (I learned that you were on holiday). I am very grateful, I already appreciated your work but this extra episode consolidates my confidence in you and the entire Atlas Copco Rental Italy organization. Thank you so much!”
