For those in manufacturing industries looking to bypass the time-consuming, sometimes complicated programming and installation process of new tools and systems, consider Atlas Copco EasyStart.

EasyStart is a service solution that brings an Atlas Copco certified technician to your manufacturing facility. Here, our technician will efficiently and seamlessly start up your operations through a standardized, certified process. Our technician handles programming, calibration, tool checks, and trainings so that your processes are good to go and right the first time.

By getting it right the first time, we’re able to reduce start-up costs and the time spent programming and calibrating. EasyStart packages include the system set-up process of controllers, tools, and Virtual Stations, along with Pset programming, software/firmware updates, tool calibration, residual torque checks, and operator trainings. We tailor our services so that the end solution is your production up and running according to your plan.

Start-up Pset programming

Following your plant’s individual specifications, our certified technician will come to your facility to create up to four Psets (per system) using standard fastening strategies. Depending on the EasyStart package chosen by the customer, we can monitor limits, test the system and tightening processes, classify joints, and perform up to five residual torque checks on your product. Your Atlas Copco service technician will also establish communication to the plant network and configure the Digital I/O to be able to talk to the accessories or a controller for wireless tools.

Should you want to add more to the standard EasyStart package, customers can request that their Atlas Copco technician adds advanced tightening programs, additional Psets, and controller set-up to your custom requirements.

Tool calibration

Once the start-up programming processes have been established and are in order, your Atlas Copco technician will then move into calibration services before the start of production. Calibration services include high-quality tool calibration according to Atlas Copco process standards. This ensures that your tools, systems, and accessories are accurate, reliable, and ready to be used during production. Depending on the service package chosen by the customer, we have the ability to perform up to 10 torque calibration checks through tightening rundowns, adjusting as necessary. We can do up to five residual torque checks through the customer part or product.

As the manufacturer of the tools and quality control equipment we have deep knowledge of its functionality and can solve most issues directly.

Trainings and support

Our expertise and experience in fastening processes are vast and diverse. The EasyStart service solution can be used for electric tooling and systems, material removal, software installations, and more. As part of the package, our service technician will train your plant personnel on how to use the installed tools or controller. Trainings will also include specific information about the basic functions of the tools being used during production, accessories, and error codes and troubleshooting. Following the completion of Atlas Copco service technician trainings, your operators will receive a certificate of operator training. In addition, your plant will also have an EasyStart report verifying and documenting the entire service process. We will also backup controller Psets.
