The target of this project is to investigate the possibility to how measurement of airflow can be used to indicate the efficiency of the grinding operation for pneumatic tools.
When using grinders there is an optimum where the most amount of material is removed. To find this optimum today requires training and experience.
There is a possibility to measure airflow in the air preparation unit, but this is not done to a high degree today.
1. Collect data on two different of the current grinders and create a model for how efficiency varies with airflow.
2. Develop a program that practically uses the airflow to present the efficiency of the grinding operation.
For the right student this can be a very challenging and rewarding Thesis with the possibility to create real value.
This thesis could work for either of the below stated educations.
We believe in order for you to thrive in this assignment you have a great understanding for physics, thermodynamics, control technology and are familiar with MatLab or other comparable program.

As this is a project position for studies and not an employment, it does not qualify for seeking a work permit. We can therefore only accept applications from students who are either attending Swedish universities (i.e. already have a student visa) or, if they are attending universities abroad, are EU-citizens.
