Not wasting energy: dry oil-free air solution supports maintenance

When a specialized contractor in the energy sector contacted Atlas Copco Rental Italy for a dry 100% oil-free compressed air solution, we did not waste energy and provided them with a compact and total solution.

Over time, a power plant’s turbines are damaged due to wear and tear. The specialized  contractor contacted Atlas Copco Rental Italy for maintenance works to restore the protective layer of the turbine’s walls. Spraying the surface with a new layer of protective material made sure the turbines returned to their original state. Dried 100% oil-free air is ideal for this application; therefore we proposed a compact set-up including a diesel driven, oil-free air compressor at medium pressure (PTS 1600), an air-cooled desiccant dryer (CD dryer - 45 m³) and matching accessories (fuel tank, air receiver, air hoses, …). At Atlas Copco Rental, you will always get more than just the machines … we therefore provided the plant with a total solution, ranging from planning, logistics (the compact solution fitted in one truck) and commissioning to 24/7 service support throughout the project and decommissioning afterwards.
