Learn more about our solutions at our technical presentations
Join us at booth 11L41 for a series of short technical presentations covering topics that include end to end engineered turbomachinery solutions for gas and liquid applications.
Our speakers and schedule:
Industrial Heat Pumps: Upcycling Waste Energy
From process heat to space or district heating – these days, thermal heat makes up a significant portion of energy demand across Europe -- with about two thirds of that heat being produced using fossil fuels. In this webinar, Rasmus Rubycz describes possible applications that can be served by turbocompressor-driven industrial heat pumps, discuss specific design features, and provide pointers on potential refrigerants to be used.
Turbocompressors: A key building block in CCUS applications (Part 1)
5th September 3 PM to 3:30 PM
Amid the hydrocarbon processing industry’s strategies to decarbonize existing operations, hydrogen and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) have increasingly moved into the focus as feasible methods in this on-going transformation. In his two-part presentation and starting with CO2, the speaker, Onur Serin, will show how integrally-geared centrifugal compressor technology is suited to carry out hydrogen and CO2-based applications, while also examining potential opportunities and limitations for the bigger picture of decarbonization and energy transition.
Oil Free Gas Screw Compressors: Making the Best Use of Your BOG
6th September 11 AM to 11:30 AM
In this presentation, Jacky Joas looks at the design and advantages of Atlas Copco Gas and Process' novel oil-free gas screw compressors, a technology now widely used across the carrier LNG industry in Boil-Off Gas applications.A presentation in partnership with Plug Power
6thSeptember 2:30 PM
Up-scaling the global hydrogen value chain by Louis Mann and Mazdak Shokrian, Sr. Director of Technology, Engineering & Design at Plug Power
Venue: Gastech Hydrogen theatre
Efficient and reliable performance for refrigeration duty and LNG plants
6th September 3 PM to 3:30 PM
Reliable and efficient refrigeration technology is needed in many industry segments and along the natural gas value chain. In this presentation, Michael Drewes introduces Atlas Copco Gas and Process' wide range of refrigeration compressors, expanders and combined solutions for different process duties and applications. Associated offerings for the LNG value chain such as e.g. boil off gas handling will also be presented.
Where turbomachinery fits into the Renewable Hydrocarbon puzzle
For over half a century, turbocompressors and expanders have been at the heart of just about any process involving gas. The next step in our collective reality is to find way to reduce and finally eliminate the carbon intensity of everything we do. 50% of the energy consumed globally is used to generate heat. Roughly half of that if for industrial processes. The presenter, Todd Gibbs, will be discussing several applications where this equipment can help reduce the need for fossil fuels and in turn, reduce the carbon intensity of these processes.
Turbocompressors: Driving the energy transition in hydrogen transportation
(Part 2)
Turboexpander Design for Hydrogen Liquefaction
Hydrogen liquefaction requires special turbomachines. The combination of high peripheral speeds and low operating temperatures create unique challenges for oil free solutions. In this presentation, Louis Mann, covers turboexpander design for hydrogen service, featuring high enthalpy drop, high impeller tip speed, rotor-bearing system, thermal management, and material suitability.
