Atlas Copco offers the most compact mid-range generators

Since its introduction, Atlas Copco’s ‘QAS’ portable generator range has been the perfect choice to power a wide range of electrical equipment in different applications. Atlas Copco’s constant search for innovation and commitment to customers’ needs has now resulted in an improved, more compact design for its QAS 125 -150 generators.

The redesigned QAS 125-150 generating set has continuous prime ratings at 50 Hz of 125 to 150 kVA. The generating sets are powered by a Volvo Penta four-stroke six-cylinder diesel engine with direct injection, turbo-charged and inter-cooled. The high performance QAS 125 – 150 kVA range features low exhaust emissions in line with the European emission regulations Stage II.

QAS 150
Atlas Copco carefully selected generator components and accurately developed and tested the generator’s configuration, such that this new model delivers the same accurate and stable power regardless of the conditions, but is now housed within a significantly smaller housing.
Atlas Copco QAS generating sets are renowned for their low noise operation. A sound attenuated and rugged Zincor steel enclosure ensures the units still comply with European sound regulations (OND 2000/14 EC).

Service efficiency – increased up-time

One of Atlas Copco’s focus areas was to ensure the reliability of the unit to boost the customer’s uptime and thereby his productivity and revenue.
For the new design, special attention was given to ease of installation and operation, service and safety. Large doors and service plates ensure superior accessibility to all service points. All critical service points are located on one side of the generator (single-side servicing point). The units have a 500 hour service interval.

Increased transport efficiency

QAS 150
The compact and safe concept together with the sturdy design ensures increased transport efficiency. The units are easy to transport and easily manoeuvred on the jobsite. With their smaller size they are ideal for urban use where space constraints are a common issue. The fuel tank is now centrally placed so that regardless of how much the fuel tank is filled, the unit is in balance.

QAS 150
With its superior standard configuration and extensive option list, the redesigned QAS 125 -150 is able to power a wide range of applications in the demanding businesses of construction, contracting and rental.

Superior standard list
The new design is characterized by a more extended standard equipment list. The unit has as standard an external fuel tank connection and a spillage-free frame with integrated forklift pockets. Standard functions also include a battery switch, a dual-stage heavy duty air filter, a dual-stage fuel filter with water separation and an oil drain pump.

A large option list
A large number of optional extras are also available to suit a wide range of applications including a paralleling device, a frame with integrated 24-hour fuel tank, a trailer with road signalization, refinery equipment (spark arrestor and air shut off valve) and many more.
