Canopy Energy Storage Systems
From 15 to 150 kVA
From 15 to 150 kVA
The canopy range of battery-based storage systems is modular, portable, and up to 70% lighter in weight than other battery solutions, and so can easily be moved around site to provide clean and quiet energy where required. Their size, which has a lot to do with their high-density lithium-ion batteries, brings a new level of versatily and usability.
All the ZBP range of canopy energy storage systems will now feature in white color. The new look will transition to all ESS models over time enabling you to easily identify the battery-based ESS solutions from Atlas Copco. These energy storage systems will continue their reliable performance while optimizing your energy management needs.
Without compromising on power, the batteries of these energy storage systems have a working life of over 40.000 hours. This translates to more than 5.000 cycles, or over 1.600 days of continuous operation.
These battery energy storage systems are easy to use and install and have lower maintenance needs than traditional diesel-driven generators and other alternatives in the market, which translates into a reduced total cost of ownership (TCO). Featuring advanced high-density lithium-ion batteries, the systems provide excellent performance with over 12 hours of power from a single charge, and they can be fully charged in less than one hour (depending on the model).

Although all energy storage systems can operate in hybrid mode and as a standalone solution, the small units are the perfect fit for certain applications.
Due to their size and capacity, they are ideal for telecom installations in remote locations. In metropolitan applications, in both events and construction sites, they can be used to balance out the peaks in demand and low loads. Also, these energy storage systems can operate in emissions-free and noise-sensitive areas where generators cannot work due to restrictions.
Moreover, the small models can store and deliver energy coming from several renewable sources, like solar or wind, and can be coupled with a diesel generator, providing significant energy savings and cutting costs. In this last scenario, energy storage systems account for low loads, reducing the generator running hours by up to 70%. This translates into a longer generator lifetime —five to ten years—.
