The QAC TwinPowerTM large diesel generator is our response to applications with varying loads and shifts in power demands that would usually cause low load issues such as wet stacking and the costly repairs that come with it.

The QAC TwinPowerTM is a 20-foot container generator with two power packs, making it perfect for applications that have variable power needs, whether power demands change throughout the day or any shifts in the current usage requirements. 

Fully loaded, the QAC TwinPowerTM solves low load issues, reduces fuel consumption and decreases CO2 emissions by up to 40% on variable load applications. This can be achieved thanks to the intuitive centralized control panel with an integrated Power Manager System that switches the two power packs on and off according to the required load.

Uninterrupted power for critical loads with the QAC TwinPower™

The integration of two separate generators into the same 20-foot container decreases your maintenance and service cost, it also enables you to provide uninterrupted power even during service intervals. While generators with a single engine would have to shut down operations to perform service and maintenance repairs, the QAC TwinPowerTM can continue to operate at half capacity as the two engines can provide power independently from each other. That means lower downtime and uninterrupted power for critical load applications.

With the two power packs in one platform, you have the flexibility you need to get the job done. The QAC TwinPowerTM can be used as a single unit or used as two independent generators at any given time - prime and standby power in the same box, one unit working at 50Hz and the other at 60Hz. This also enables the generators to adapt to varying loads, if the power demand is temporarily lower, one generator alone can provide the power needed while still running on optimal efficiency – where other machines might face wet stacking and low load issues.

QAC 1000 TwinPower™ Generator

The newest addition to the QAC TwinPower™ container generator range comes with 2x 500 kVA generators in the same compact 20ft container. Each of the two generators can be operated individually and in parallel to get the maximum power of 1000 kVA. This allows for maximum efficiency in your power application as the QAC TwinPower™ automatically starts and stops each generator depending on the load. Designed with the customer in mind, the QAC 1000 TwinPower™ comes with viscous fan technology which automatically adjusts the speed of the fan based on the temperature. The technology enables superior fuel efficiency and lower operating noise, as the fan engages based on the temperature detected and slows down the speed of the fan as temperatures decrease.

QAC 1100 TwinPower™ Generator

For sites with variable power needs, the QAC 1100 TwinPower generator comprises two 500kVA generators inside a single container. The QAC 1100 is a fully engineered package with an advanced control system that enables the two generators to work independently or in parallel with each other. It enables operators to use up to 1MVA of power anywhere between full load and low load, maximizing fuel efficiency and cutting associated running costs.

QAC 1350 TwinPower™ Generator

Powerful, quieter than other units of the same power size, and easy to transport, the generators suit a range of applications, including utilities, events, construction, quarrying, mining, and Oil & Gas. The new TwinPower™ delivers up to 1350 kVA as a prime power. Compliant with the European Stage V regulations, the generator provides a more efficient way to power operations, with nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduced by up to 80%.

QAC 1420 TwinPower™ Generator

To tackle even bigger jobs, the QAC TwinPower™ has two dedicated Atlas Copco Qc4004 controllers, so you can easily parallel with other generators and tailor the power system to your needs. You have the choice of island mode or PMS (Power Management System). Each generator can run in parallel with mains, peak shaving, mains power export/import, fixed power, and AMF (Automatic Mains Failure). The QAC 1420 TwinPower™ comes with 2x 707 kVA generators that are EU Stage 2, EPA Tier2 & China 3 certified to comply with local regulations and maximize utilization.

QAC 1450 TwinPower™ Generator

The electric VSD (Variable Speed Drive) motor-driven, cooling fan, adjusts the cooling flow to the specific requirements of the engine. It sets the QAC 1450 TwinPower™ apart as it automatically activates the fan as needed rather than having to manually set parameters for the fan to engage. It guarantees fuel savings up to 40% in variable load applications. This model is specifically designed for intensive use in applications like independent power plants (IPP) and offshore applications.

 The QAC TwinPower™ Generators come as a centralized paralleled package, with the controller automatically detecting variations in the load and managing the available power of both generators accordingly. If the power demand decreases, the QAC TwinPower™ can shut down one of the power packs and therefore ensure optimal running conditions for both generators at all times.

The QAC TwinPower™ generators consist of two separate generators within the compact 20ft container. Both units can provide power independently or collectively and can even be used at 50hz and 60hz respectively.
