Sealing is a key process used to protect everything from the smallest electronic components – such as sensors and control units – to large vehicle structures like doors, body panels, chassis joints, and battery trays. High-performance sealants provide a protective barrier against moisture, dust, and chemicals, while also supporting bonding and enhancing structural integrity.

Application of high-viscosity sealants

During sealing, high-viscosity sealant is precisely applied in bead form to the workpiece. It acts as a barrier against external influences while also serving as a bonding agent when using special adhesive materials.


Whether used as FIPG ("formed in-place gasket") or CIPG procedure ("cured in-place gasket"), they safeguard sensitive electronics from dust, moisture, corrosive media or temperature-related influences and enhance product durability.

Liquid seals are widely used in lighting, electronics, and e-mobility, especially in automotive applications like sealing enclosures, engines, and sensors.


Beyond protection, they increasingly offer bonding functions.
