When did you begin with Atlas Copco Ireland? And where did you hear about the job position?

"I heard about Atlas Copco Ireland and the job position from a friend which led me to do some homework on the company, I then applied for the role of summer intern in 2017 and stayed for a year!"

Tell us a bit about your time here. What was your role on a day to day and what did you learn?

"While I worked for Atlas Copco Ireland, I had the opportunity to work within all departments including sales, marketing and accounts to name a few. I loved going to work every morning because every day was different, and I was given a lot of responsibility which I really enjoyed.

"Working in such a fast paced company helped me develop my organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. By working in different disciplines over my time there I got to learn a lot about myself and what I want to do in the future."

Atlas Copco has committed to bridging the diversity gap with an action plan. What do you think is the biggest benefit of gender diversity and what could someone learn from the women of Atlas Copco Ireland?

"There are plenty of benefits in gender diversity but the main one that was visible at Atlas Copco Ireland was the mix of talent and the way people collaborated with each other.

Atlas Copco Ireland is full of driven, intelligent and inspirational women that I was so lucky to work alongside with so much to be learned from them."

What would you say to anyone thinking of applying for a position with Atlas Copco Ireland?

"I would say GO FOR IT! It was such an amazing opportunity that really moulded me and helped drive me forward to do what I’m doing today. I went into Atlas Copco Ireland with minimal knowledge of compressors, vacuums and everything else but that changed quickly. The environment is friendly, everyone is so helpful and accommodating, it really is a fantastic opportunity that I couldn’t recommend enough!"
