Atlas Copco Ireland appoints Mathijs Van Mullem as Service Operations Manager

Atlas Copco Ireland are delighted to announce the appointment of Mathijs Van Mullem as Service Operations Manager for Compressor Technique. 

Mathijs has worked for Atlas Copco Airpower as a Quality Assurance Engineer / Team Leader since 2017. He also holds a master’s degree in industrial sciences, electromechanics, and automotive engineering from the University of Antwerp and a bachelor’s degree in car technology.  

Tell us a bit about your career at Atlas Copco so far.

I started in 2017 as a quality assurance engineer in the product company portable air Belgium. After a short period of time, I also became the foreman of the existing audit to help and improve the quality control. "As a quality engineer I was responsible for finding long term solutions, reducing unnecessary costs, preparations of the ISO audit, setting up Quality Process systems and reporting to the management team.

What are your main goals as the Service Operations Manager?

Main goal for all of us is to keep and to improve the balance between Customers satisfaction and operational efficiency. "I will do this by ensuring that we operate as efficiently as possible, whilst working very closely with our team of dedicated Field Service Engineers. We will focus on continuous development of both existing and new products in order to ensure our team have the most up to date training.
