What is usage-based maintenance?
The classic way of defining service intervals is usually by time of usage. The challenge of this time-based service interval is that the service life of a tool is very much dependent on how and where it’s being used. Usage-based maintenance enables ALTURE Maintain to schedule service for the tools not only based on time intervals, but also the actual usage of the tool, such as the number of tightening, torque level, and types of joints. As an optimal solution, usage-based maintenance means that the tool will be serviced when it’s time, based on the actual usage, not too early and not too late.
