Atlas Copco introduces Elektronikon® NanoTM, the first compressor controller with over-the-air updates and an app

The new and fully in-house developed Elektronikon® NanoTM from Atlas Copco is the world’s first compressor controller to work with an app. This means users can monitor their Atlas Copco G compressor from anywhere in the world and control it remotely using the Atlas Copco SMARTLINK app. Thanks to the Nano’s over-the-air updates, Atlas Copco’s G 15L-22 is the first compressor to get better over time.

The complete Elektronikon experience

The Nano complements the Atlas Copco Elektronikon line-up, which also includes the mid-range Swipe and the top-of-the-line Touch. Although the Nano is the smallest of the three, it offers the full Elektronikon experience with a premium build and an intuitive, uncluttered screen. It also comes with a host of advanced features, such as the energy-saving DSS (Delayed Second Stop), which stops the compressor’s motor whenever possible.

The controller will be rolled out throughout Atlas Copco’s entire G rotary screw compressor range. The first compressor to feature the Nano is the G 15L-22.

There’s an app for that - mobile control

Thanks to the Elektronikon Nano’s wifi and wired connectivity, users can easily monitor their Atlas Copco G-compressor using the SMARTLINK app on their mobile devices. In one quick glance, they can check the unit’s most important performance indicators – pressure, temperature, running hours and operation mode.

Using their smartphone or tablet’s Bluetooth® connection, customers can even control the unit to turn it on/off, set a compressor timer, and improve its efficiency. They can also run a leakage detection program to ensure their compressor is working optimally.

For increased peace of mind, SMARTLINK sends out real-time notifications alerting users to machine warnings and shutdowns. 

Over-the-air updates

The new Nano is the first compressor controller to support over-the-air updates, making the G 15L-22 the first compressor to get better over time. As new features become available, they will be sent automatically and securely to all Nano-controlled compressors.

All of the Nano’s features are free for customers to use. They only need a wifi/wired connection and Bluetooth functionality. The new controller will be available on all Atlas Copco G compressors, starting with the G 15L-22. The SMARTLINK app is available to download now on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
