The 3rd Facility - Water4all inaugurated in Indonesia
Sweden’s ambassador to Indonesia inaugurated and handed-over clean water facility in Cisalam Village, Baros Sub-district, Serang Regency, Banten, Tuesday February 7, 2017. Clean water facility is a CSR of PT. Atlas Copco Indonesia coordinated through Yayasan Pembangunan Citra Insan Indonesia (YPCII) and attended by Serang Vice-regent, Pandji Tirtayasa and Serang regency officials. Sweden’s ambassador to Indonesia , Johanna Brismar Skoog in her speech stated that Indonesian government has put the target for universal access of clean water and sanitation in 2019, “Hopefully all of us can reach the target,” said Johanna that also inspected the clean water facility in that village. Meanwhile Serang Vice-regent, Pandji Tirtayasa, expressed that this day was memorable day for community of Cisalam village, because Ambassador herself made her time to hand over the facility to the community together with Atlas Copco Vice President Holding for South East Asia Mr. Host Wasel , and Director of Atlas Copco Indonesia Mr. Robert Yap. “European people come from far away for this, and we have to appreciate and take a good care of this, we don’t want this facility inaugurated today but next year only the memory remains,” said him. He also stated that water is a basic human right, people without water don’t have any culture and civilization, thus he asked the community to maintain the facility, and will instruct the related division as well. “For maintenance, we have formed management board, as for technical advisor derived from PDAM, so the community know the management systems well. We don’t want clean water discharging from year to year,” he concluded. For the Water4all project 2016 , We have been provided 4 villages in Cisalam area, with total beneficiaries 1010 people, and changed their behavior before they only have 8-10 toilet in public area in 4 villages. Now from 204 houses in 4 (four) villages – 180 houses have their own toilet. We are not only providing the infrastructure but We also develop the community together with our local NGO.
