Atlas Copco expands QES generators range up to 500 kVA
13 January, 2021
Atlas Copco has expanded its QES portable generator range up to 500 kVA with the addition of four models that offer a predictable source of electrical power for the world’s most demanding worksites. The latest models in the range are the QES 250, QES 325, QES 400 and QES 500, which are all Stage 3A emission compliant and available in 50 Hz or 60 Hz versions.
Only 2 clicks to start this mobile diesel generator
The expanded QES mobile diesel generator family
QES generators come equipped with user-friendly Qc series controllers that provide power within two clicks and take just six seconds to be fully operational. With the models from 250 kVA upwards, it is possible to connect and deploy multiple generators in a modular power plant format if paralleling, load sharing or power export is required. To realise this, users can choose between either a Qc 3012™ multiple gensets synchronisation controller or Qc 3111™ Automatic Mains Failure (AMF) synchronisation controller.
The new 250-500 kVA models are fitted with high quality Volvo engines. Like other models in the range, the latest QES generators feature waterproof, corrosion-treated canopies that repel all liquids, including heavy rainfall. They are able to perform continuously for up to 500 hours in extreme high (+50°C maximum) and low (-25°C minimum) temperatures.
Our QES generators provide a constant source of power in even the harshest weather conditions. The new additions to the range offer even more flexibility for contractors in the construction and rental sector, particularly those looking for generators with exceptional plug-and-play capabilities.
Only one hour of service every 500 operating hours

All QES generators include a fuel-efficient power pack, sound attenuated steel enclosure and spillage-free frame with integrated forklift slots and lifting beams for ease of transportation. They also include a lifting frame structure that can withstand up to four times the weight of the generator, as well as a heavy-duty base frame to cope with regular mobilisation. In addition, all models in the range require only 1-hour of maintenance every 500 operating hours and have large doors for easy access during servicing. Moreover, the QES range includes a standard Digital Automatic Voltage Regulator (DAVR) and a 300 per cent short-circuit capability, meaning the generators can be used to start any electrical motor within 20 seconds.
