Cimentaciones Abando prouds itself in fast and reliable service and expects nothing less from its equipment suppliers. When the company’s Fleet Manager, Julen Abando, considered a new set of drilling compressors, he wanted technically advanced machines that could deliver high performance at a low fuel consumption. Atlas Copco’s DrillAir H23 looked like the best solution on paper, but Cimentaciones Abando requested a trial before deciding.
“Atlas Copco allowed us to test an H23 during a few weeks before deciding. We monitored performances, fuel consumption and of course, we assessed the ease to operate and service the compressor,” comments Julen Abando, Fleet Manager at Cimentaciones Abando. “The results were very positive: the H23 outperforms comparable compressors when it comes to fuel efficiency. We were surprised to see that fuel savings easily exceeded 20%, over the whole operation cycle and even more at partial load. The new controller was also easy to get to grips with. This technically advanced machine simply delivers on its promise.”

Cimentaciones Abando went on to order two H23 DrillAir units, which are to replace two machines from another brand. The DrillAir’s excellent performances and low fuel consumption will guarantee a fast return on investment, but these compressors are also easy to operate. Every DrillAir also has a new Xc4004 controller on board. These newest generation of controllers offer a very visual way to monitor the machine’s performance and an intuitive menu set-up.
