VSD stands for “variable speed drive” and it is Atlas Copco’s ground-breaking alternative to traditional fixed speed compressors. While those cannot accommodate any fluctuations in compressed air demand, compressors with VSD+ are able to closely match air requirements by automatically adjusting motor speed. The result: instant savings of 50% on average.
