Calibrating your tools is crucial in ensuring your process instruments are measuring correctly, meeting global and national standards, and providing traceability to these standards. Failure to properly test and calibrate measuring equipment or tools results in costly consequences, including - but not limited to - product rework and recalls, increased downtime, and even legal repercussions due to a lack of traceability.

Through our Service Center, we have two Service offerings available (Tool Calibration and Accredited Quality Assurance Calibration) that provide professional Atlas Copco lab and/or on-site calibration services. Our certified, experienced technicians are experts in giving your facility the key it needs to unlock substantial boosts in quality, operator and customer safety, and cost savings.
This calibration service can be completed, depending on customer preference, on-site or in one of our accredited calibration centers. Performed by highly skilled calibration technicians, your process instruments will undergo a series of professional torque, angle and force calibrations that fulfill global and national standards. The Atlas Copco Tool Calibration maintenance solution provides the entire package: functional tests prior to calibration, calibrations performed with traceable reference equipment, and any appropriate tool adjustments.
Following this, a calibration certificate is then issued according to national standards. This certificate can be stored for a minimum of 10 years. Because calibrations are only valid when there is proof of traceability to national standards, Atlas Copco Tool Calibrations are performed with traceable reference equipment only. You can count on a significantly reduced risk of liability claims and reputation damages, along with a decrease in rework, warranty, and recall costs.
Measurement equipment calibration is the first step in ensuring complete quality control and decreasing rework and liability costs. Similar to the Atlas Copco Tool Calibration service described above, our Accredited Quality Assurance Calibration service is performed on-site or in an accredited lab by calibration experts. Today, the leading calibration providers are ISO 17025 accredited, and Atlas Copco is no exception. In our ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, our technicians are well-trained in verifying that your plant standard is maintaining the necessary accuracy and traceability requirements. This routine plant calibration should be performed annually, or as specified by the facility’s Quality department.
Through the Accredited Quality Assurance Calibration package, your measurement equipment will undergo functional tests prior to calibration. Following this, a calibration will be performed, and any appropriate adjustments are included. A retrievable calibration certificate that details the fulfilled relevant requirements and regulated can be stored for a minimum of 10 years.
