From a humble beginning of only ten employees in 1982, Atlas Copco Malaysia has grown to a massive family of over 200 employees with a direct presence not just in the central region of Malaysia but also in Penang, Johor Bahru, as well as with several channel partners both in Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
To serve our customers efficiently who are from diverse business spheres, we incorporated a regional service academy in 2017. We are now continuously equipping and developing our competence and spreading the knowledge of compressed air systems to our customers, and at the same time supporting the sustainable growth of the Malaysian industry.
The 40th Anniversary was celebrated at Atlas Copco Malaysia HQ located at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. This important landmark event was graced by H.E. Dr. Joachim Bergström, the Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia who spoke about Sweden's contribution to the Malaysian industry through Swedish technology and investments and about Atlas Copco’s CSR efforts with the “Water for all” initiative that delivers drinking water and sanitation facilities to the indigenous communities of Malaysia.
Khalid Shaikh, our General Manager thanked all the employees for their contribution and spoke about the future vision of the company and the growth aspirations driven by sustainability and innovation.

Unfortunately, Horst Wasel, the Vice President of SE-Asia & Oceania, could not join the event. It was a pleasant surprise to have him share his celebration message remotely, encouraging the team through his kind words.
