Make A Difference 2.0

On 14th January 2022, we had our first sales kick-off event for the year 2022. Chatter filled the air as we gathered at 7:30am, excitedly waiting for the treasure hunt to begin. Under the blazing sun, everyone searched for clues high and low, squinting at the surrounding signboards. After a long morning, everyone was exhausted and sticky but beaming with happy smiles. In the next teambuilding activities, teams had to build a car with whatever resources possible. Cars were lined in a row, ready to showcase their speed and durability. All cars aimed to go as far as possible while carrying an engine (a water bottle). There were cars with CDs, bottle caps and ping pong balls as wheels. This activity was a good learning experience to think out of the box while keeping in mind the rules and criteria imposed.

The second teambuilding activity conveyed the importance of clear communication, understanding each other’s needs and trusting our team members to provide the correct information. Structures had to be memorized and relayed to the different members. Lastly, teams also completed personality profiles to better understand one another’s working style and strengths better. For the rest of the day and the third day, everyone got the ground running with their presentations. The groups covered various topics including increasing territory coverage, being more reliable, increasing collaboration and other common challenges faced. Different presenters brought up different opinions and solutions, of which the audience challenged or provided further input. Overall, there were a lot of productive and balanced discussions involving different perspectives. At the end of the third day, Khalid closed the event with a speech and some reflections. Everyone pledged their commitment towards making a difference by signing on the MAD 2.0 signboard. May we all be motivated and encouraged to start off the year well and make a difference where we are.
