Most of our time is spent at work: it is, therefore, crucial for it to be an uplifting environment on a personal level. Atlas Copco is a comprehensive, smart and innovative company that seriously understands the importance of empowering employees to maximize efficiency, cooperation, and confidence. Right from the start of my placement, I was encouraged to explore the different tasks involved in the engineering role and find which resonate with my strengths and passion.
How did you get your job with Atlas Copco Pakistan?
It was quite interesting to share how I got my chance in Atlas Copco. When I applied for the Technical Support position I received a reply from HR, which I still, remember vividly that, “Dear Candidate, we will get back to you within fortnight timespan.” I thought it is an automated email, which is normally sent to every other candidate. However, I received a call for an interview and I confirmed the requested date.
Panel interview was arranged in a very conducive but equally professional environment. Many technical and thought-provoking personality questions were asked. I remained confident, blunt and honest in the entire process. One question that I still remember, which was asked by the panel, “Do you know the role for which you have applied?” I answered, “Sir, for the job I have applied, is like moving from pillars to stones, honestly I don’t remember the role now.” They laughed at it and momentum of healthy conversation continued. However, when I left the room, I was confident about the interview and was hopeful of having the second call. Instead, I directly received an offer from HR which I accepted and joined Atlas Copco.

What are you most thrilled about in your product management role?
Handling customers with a diverse cultural background is a challenging task especially in my current region where there is a perception that “Our belonging is minimal”. Nevertheless, having customer with focused mind with transparent dealing creates lasting impact. With this kind of attitude, everyone can bring a difference.
What do you like best about Atlas Copco group?
Words extremely fail to explain the greatness of Atlas Copco. From a friendly working environment to professional growth, it is a well-structured organization, which I have never observed in my whole career.
