What was the moment you knew you’d made the right decision to work at Atlas Copco?
Every single moment after joining Atlas Copco, I realized that I have made a very good decision. Whether it be the onboarding process or the freedom to perform my given responsibilities in my way, every single moment strengthened the fact that my decision couldn’t have been any better.

What has your experience been with our company culture?
My experience of the company culture has been amazing. I have felt empowered, respected, and appreciated throughout my six-year journey here. Atlas Copco Pakistan’s Culture is one of the best in Pakistan for women who dream to make it big in their professional careers.

What’s something that happened that can only happen at Atlas Copco? What are you most proud of?

I still remember the time when I was given the assignment to arrange for Atlas Copco Pakistan first ever overseas Annual Sales Conference. Being in my 1st year of employment, the responsibility for arranging for all the company employees and managing the budgets to exceed everyone’s expectations with the arrangements, I think it’s difficult to be given so much authority and empowerment at such an early stage of career to anyone anywhere else.

I am proud of the fact that I have such a satisfied set of internal customers who acknowledge my contributions and appreciate me for the successful execution of my responsibilities. Being in a support team, although it seems difficult to achieve, but has been only possible because of the support and cooperation of the whole team.

What kind of career growth have you experienced since joining?

My career path has been very steep since my joining. Starting from some very basic administrative tasks with now being a part of the company's recruitment and onboarding process. Initially, it was a lengthy process of five to seven steps, now only in just three steps, I schedule interviews. I think I have come a long way from where I started at Atlas Copco Pakistan. I look forward to going a lot further in my career and I am very sure that organizations like these have a lot more to offer to feed one’s ambition.

Describe a time you set a goal and accomplished it. Can you share with us the experience when you went beyond expectations to complete a job?

Every morning, I start my day by setting up goals in a form of a to-do list since I perform so many tasks on daily basis. Most of the tasks are ad hoc arrangements by supporting admin, logistics, and finance teams, and have to be accomplished within the set time by them. While managing the administrative tasks, especially the travel-related ones, on so many occasions there have been such situations that the team needs last-moment support to ensure the timely execution of their activities. I still remember that once a colleague had to travel abroad for an official. She was supposed to travel on Sunday night and her passport was in the delivery process. Due to the weekend, I had to go out of the way to make arrangements for the timely arrival of the passport through alternate means and that helped us from avoiding the training being missed.

Tell me about an idea you had and how it was brought to life.

My goal in life is to utilize my capabilities to assist in the growth of my organization. Through my experience, I realized it is important for developing to learn at every stage of your life and guide others as much as you could.

What’s the most unique part about working here?

This organization is a perfect package of all the right things coming together, whether it be a culture of empowerment, diversity, inclusion, acknowledgment, or appreciation. On top of it, the opportunity to interact and learn from people locally and internationally makes it a dream organization to work and grow.

How do our company values align with your own?

I can apply the best of my knowledge to various situations and in return, I get the opportunity to learn from the open feedback I receive from the people around me. Innovations and seeing their applications in real life is something I feel really aligned with.

How do you define success?

I define success as being able to make a positive impact on other people’s lives. There is definitely something rewarding about helping others, whether it’s in your personal life or at work. So, this makes me feel happy and I view that as being successful.
