Atlas Copco restores the 1956 Ford F100 service truck

To celebrate Atlas Copco's heritage and acknowledge our contribution to shaping the future, we restored the 1956 Ford F100 service truck and transformed it into an electric truck.

The original truck was taken apart, its components were cleaned using sandblasting and given a protective coating. We also upgraded the front brake system and steering column by installing an electric power steering system. Additionally, the old V8 engine was replaced with a 225-kilowatt motor, and we added nine battery modules.

Our President and CEO, Mats Rahmström, drove the car to our Group Summit event held in Stockholm at the beginning of June.
