We are James E. Watson & Co. - an official Atlas Copco vacuum and chemical pump distributor. Based in Marietta near Atlanta, Georgia, we provide vacuum consultancy, vacuum equipment sales and service to process industries, including production of chemicals and paper, woodworking, and food packaging. Serving mainly Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee states, we are also present throughout the South-East region of the USA. Since becoming part of the Atlas Copco Group in 2023, our capabilities and potential are on track to reach new heights.
We are also a certified repair facility in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area.
Our History
James E. Watson & Co. was formed by James (Jim) E. Watson in his home in Marietta, GA in 1952. Watson, a former Lockheed Martin test pilot, began stocking and shipping GAST Manufacturing products from his home (with gaps cut into the basement floor to allow water to drain so the boxes wouldn’t get wet) in Marietta, GA in 1953.
Since then, we’ve grown exponentially to become one of those trusted vacuum technology suppliers in North America. But we’re more than just a chemical and vacuum pump supplier. We are also experts in our field and offer free phone consultations to answer your questions or give you advice about your pump. And if your equipment is ever damaged, you can trust us to repair it in no time.
