Carbon capture

Carbon capture using compressed gas solutions

We have the solutions for your carbon capture operations. We're offering piston and centrifugal compressors with unrivalled efficiency and reliability. Together with you, we move towards an eco-friendly future. We know responsibility lies in our hands.

Carbon dioxiode capture

Carbon dioxide is an unfortunate byproduct of many industrial processes. We can now capture the expelled CO2 that would previously enter the environment and apply it to different processes. Because of the low relative density of CO2, our compressors are a critical piece of equipment to increase the volume of CO2 for reuse or storage.

Carbon dioxide storage

Once CO2 is captured and compressed it can be stored for future use or sequestered deep underground in defunct oil wells or other geological formations. We are at the forefront of CO2 storage initiatives that save expelled CO2 for future energy or heating needs.

Expertise in CO2 compression requirements

Comply with all relevant international standards. Our equipment is designed, manufactured and tested to comply with strict regulations.

Save tons of carbon dioxide

You no longer need to buy CO2. Whether you’re in food and beverage packaging or fertilizers , benefit from our expertise in both wet and dry CO2 management.

By compressing carbon dioxide beyond its critical point (above 200 bar(a)) the properties of CO2 in its liquid and gas phases are identical. This sCO2 “fluid” can then be used in various hydrocarbon-dominant processes. High-pressure centrifugal compressors and Companders™ (a compressor-turboexpander on a shared gearbox) can be engineered to support Brayton-cycle processes to produce sCO2

Using CO2, helping the environment and your bottom line

Carbon dioxide reduction

There is always an added dimension when it comes to using CO2. Because, as opposed to compressed air or other industrial cases like nitrogen or oxygen, the potential impact on the environment always has to be taken into account in terms of CO2 emissions.

That is why the origin of CO2 plays a major role – as well as what happens to the carbon dioxide once it has fulfilled its purpose.

What any user of carbon dioxide should avoid if at all possible is to produce CO2 for the application and then simply release it into the atmosphere.

Fortunately, there are technologies available that make this unnecessary, such as reusing or capturing CO2.

Even better, while the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere is increasingly punished by governments trying to curb the effects of climate change, e.g. in the form of taxes and fines, the aforementioned technologies are often incentivized.

That is why carbon capture is enjoying growing popularity. This technology not only prevents CO2 from being released into the atmosphere – and therefore allows businesses to do their part to protect the environment – it is also a financially attractive option.

How attractive? In many cases, the entire return on investment in carbon capture equipment comes from lower taxes. In addition, any CO2 that is not reused can either be stored or sold.

Finally, in a world in which customers are increasingly environmentally aware and sustainability is a major selling point, carbon capture can also offer businesses an image boost as a green company that cares about the world we share and does its part to preserve it.
