Atlas Copco Compressors Canada relocates head office
August 4, 2017
Saint-Laurent, QC – Atlas Copco Compressors Canada opened its doors in June to new headquarters in Ville St-Laurent, QC. Operations were previously located in Dollard-des-Ormeaux. The new, larger Ville St-Laurent facilities further streamline customer service by regrouping services and personnel under one roof.
President and General Manager of Atlas Copco Compressors Canada Michael Sue said, “We have so much more indoor warehousing space and a showroom, a training center and other innovative improvements that increase our overall operational capability. We are now able to offer even better service to customers throughout all of Canada.” Michael said shipping efficiency will greatly improve: “The new headquarters are ideally located from a logistics stand point. The property is next to the intersection of Highway 13 and the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 40). This enables immediate access to major land transportation routes in all directions throughout the province and country.” The property also lies along the northeast side of the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. It is also only a few minutes’ drive to the St. Lawrence River for shipping by sea. The higher ceiling and larger overall square footage of the warehouse provides greater racking space for more indoor storage of equipment than ever before, as well as improved flow of parts inventory. Approximately 75 employees will be based out of the headquarters including all logistics, finance / admin, HR, engineering, marketing, sales and service. Providing a wide array of services to customers, distributors and in support of satellite branches and technicians across the country. A dedicated trainer will deliver and test curricula from a specialized training room. Atlas Copco’s own factory-trained service techs will not only maintain and repair compressors and equipment, but have complete rebuild capability with plans to invest in more tooling. Parts availability is significantly improved in the new location by having parts warehouse, service centre and administration all under one roof. The new headquarters are equipped for optimum health, safety and comfort. The modern, open concept cafeteria converts into a “town hall” to invite collaboration and creates a shared space among workers. Break-out and private meeting rooms offer quiet and privacy when needed. In keeping with the company’s mission to promote health and safety at all levels, work areas include natural light and sit / stand adjustable work stations. Employees also have access to a nearby fitness facility included as part of the business park. The new Atlas Copco Compressors Canada offices are located at 5060 Rue Levy, Saint-Laurent, QC H4R 2P1 and may be contacted by phone 514-421-4121 or email at compressors.canada@ca.atlascopco.com.
