ISO calibration of manually operated torque wrenches

Calibration of manually operated, indicating or triggering torque wrenches includes the following services

• Calibration according to DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017 at initial value, 60% and 100% of the torque range. • Determination of repeatability, reproducibility and, if necessary, lever arm sensitivity. • If possible, also the determination and setting of the adjustment value. • Calibration certificate according to DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017 with measurement uncertainty information, graphical representation of the measurement results and with the reference about the traceability to the national standard. All comparison standards or references used are traceable to national standards and are subject to their own regular calibration. The independence of the results is ensured and certified by our certification according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 and the annual audit of our laboratories by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS).

Note

The performance of a calibration according to DIN EN ISO 6789-22017 with a reduced calibration procedure can only be carried out if the calibration laboratory has sufficient statistical data on the respective types of measuring equipment from which the required b-parameter (acc. guideline DIN EN ISO 6789-2:2017) can be derived.

This b-parameter is mandatory for indicating torque wrenches in order to perform a calibration according to DIN EN ISO 6789-22017 with reduced calibration procedure. Triggering torque wrenches, on the other hand, can be calibrated by our laboratory with reduced calibration effort even without knowledge of the b-parameter in a measuring range from 4 to 1600 Nm, provided they belong to one of the following classifications (acc. guideline DIN EN ISO 6789-1:2017):

• Type 1 Class A, B or C • Type 2 Class A, B, C or G If the b-parameter is also known, the measuring range can be extended to 1 -1600 Nm.
