Why work with us?
Compressed air is an integral part of the landfill industry
We can help you pick the right size of air compressor to ensure you have the correct air flow to keep your leachate pumps running effectively, whatever their depth. The equipment needed to extract leachate needs careful consideration. As well as being intrinsically safe to ATEX and DESEAR standards, the pumping equipment needs to be totally reliable. This ensures your plant stays fully compliant with the limits of your environmental permit, and that leachate is not released into the ground or surface water .
The chemical make-up of the leachate varies depending on the products taken in for disposal. Typically, the leachate will be composed of a range of compounds including nitrogen, organic carbons, chlorides, phenols, solvents and heavy metals.
In order to exract the landfill leachate, pneumatic leachate pumps need a reliable supply of compressed air.
SMARTLINK alerts can be a failsafe
A landfill operative may be responsible for for several sites, some of which may be unmanned. Integration with SMARTLINK means the operative is able to receive and respond to alerts for proactive and reactive maintenance before things go wrong.
SMARTLINK Uptime keeps an eye on critical components. If an issue comes up, it prompts you to take action. An early response is the best way to avoid unexpected downtime. With shock pulse monitoring we keep an eye on critical components and warn you when they need to be replaced. Avoid disruption of the essential removal of leachate from your plant.
Energy Efficiency
Your compressed air system is one of your biggest electricity consumers. Gaining energy efficiency can have a big impact on your cost, while helping to reduce your CO2 footprint and meet your carbon reduction targets. Let our experts get to work and unlock the energy savings potential of your compressor room and keep your site running costs down!
Free compressed air audit
Become more energy efficent and reduce your carbon footprint with a free audit!
Atlas Copco Compressors offers 3 levels of health check and energy audit for your compressed air installation, with the aim to assess whether there are opportunities for performance or efficiency improvements, better compliance and money / CO2 savings.
Super Tax Deduction
The super-deduction started on April 1st 2021 and will run for 2 years until March 31st 2023 . It means that businesses can claim 130% first-year capital allowances against their corporation tax for main rate plant and machinery investments.
This is a great incentive for UK manufacturers to invest in the latest, energy efficient compressed air, process cooling and industrial gas technologies, which will not only improve productivity compared to competitors who use older equipment, but also positively affect the company’s long term sustainability and profitability.
Can you give me an example of super-deduction for air compressors?
If you invest £100,000 in air compressors you can deduct £130,000 (130% of the initial investment) from taxable profits. As the current UK corporation tax rate is 19% you will save 19% of £130,000 on your corporation tax bill which equals £24,700. In this example it effectively saves about a quarter of the purchase price. Use our calculator to check other amounts.
