Welcome to the Flexible offering: Intro to PF6000 Ecosystem product essential webinar.
In this webinar, Product Manager Rodney Hill introduces the PowerFocus 6000 Ecosystem, our flexible offering included in the 3.0 software update. For customers that need a tightening controller to connect to their tools, but don’t need the full capabilities of the Power Focus 6000, we have a flexible offering called the PF6000 Ecosystem. This new option now allows for different Virtual Station functionality levels based on application demands and tool types being used.
Rodney begins the video by giving an overview of the PF6000 Ecosystem and the 3.0 software update. In this update, we’ve added support for the MWR Mechatronic Wrench TA, which reports torque and angle. We’ve also added support for the BCV/BCP-RE battery clutch tools. Rodney then takes a look at the nine different tool types that work with the PF 6000. In this new 3.0 software upgrade, support for five more tools has been added.
There are now five different Virtual Station types in the 3.0 software. Critical and process Virtual Stations remain the high-level Virtual Stations for high-end tools. For lower-end tools without the functionalities of higher-end tools, we’ve added three different Virtual Station types: batch, joint and station. The largest difference between critical and process Virtual Stations compared to the batch, joint and station Virtual Station types is that batch, joint and station only report OK/NOK results. Should you need more advanced Virtual Station types such as critical and process, these can be added on. We can also add different features, such as advanced tightening strategies, as part of the flexible offering.
