The IxB tools are our latest and most flexible wireless-tools
- The IxB tool’s integrated controller provides standalone tool programming and results history storage without a physical controller
- IxB connect is a feature that allows IxB support on the Power Focus controller if a physical controller is desired and comes at no additional cost
- IxB supports our latest common batteries in 14v, 18v, and 36v options, allowing you to choose a lighter-weight battery or a battery that will increase tool run time based on the specific application needs
Improved size and configuration adds to IxB’s versatility
- The compact ICB tool is a right-angle tool that covers a torque range of 1.4 Nm to 20 Nm yet is 30% lighter, and 30% smaller compared to the previous generation of STB tools in a similar torque range
- The compact ICB tool improves the operator experience and application access with its rotating angle head and trigger which expands the options for how the tool can be held
- IxB tools are faster than the predecessor STB tools. ITB-A is 30% faster and ITB-P is twice as fast as the previous generation STB tools in their respective torque ranges
IxB supports advanced tightening strategies and offers new configuration settings
- The ITB-P pistol grip tool has configurable front-end lights to provide green OK or red NOK illumination on the part being fastened, providing instant operator feedback
- The full line of IxB tools host a gyroscope which allows them to support Atlas Copco’s TrueAngle strategy
- IxB programming is done with the highly configurable multistep strategy. This allows the programming to be customized to meet the specific joint needs in up to 16 configurable steps with a single trigger pull
IxB offers faster installation and easier software upgrades across a wider torque range with improved accuracy
- Integrating IxB tools into your production is more seamless than the previous generation STB platform. IxB installation time is now 2.5 times faster! Additionally, the time to upgrade software is 70% faster and no longer requires a docking station
- The IxB offers a wider torque range than the STB tools, now covering 1-200 Nm across the various IxB models. Previously, STB only covered 2-150 Nm
- IxB hosts safety-critical accuracy that has been improved to +/- 3.5%
