En testenhet blir presset til det ytterste i et laboratorium for å se hvilke strekkrefter den tåler. They are used high up in the mountains up to 5000 meters, in different temperatures down to -20°C or up to +50°C, in humid underground tunnels or at platforms in the middle of the sea. Besides, all unites have built-in safety features that automatically shut down the motor if the unit is overloaded, to prevent damage or injury to the user. They also have thermal protection and a pressure relief valve to automatically release excess pressure.
