Stewart-Haas Racing Makes ICU Webcam Carts for Hospital Provider
Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) has a new venture: making ICU webcam carts for Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. The racing team began constructing prototype carts in mid-April , and 10 (out of an expected 110) ICU webcam carts were delivered to Novant Health in early May. The carts, measuring six-and-a-half feet tall and weighing approximately 30 pounds, include a camera at the top, enabling remote monitoring of patients by Novant Health technicians. This technology improves overall outcomes by shortening length-of-stay times and limiting exposure to COVID-19.
Don Schumacher Racing & Medical Face Shields
Don Schumacher Racing is the largest team in NHRA drag racing, and they're putting their equipment to excellent use during the break in the racing season. The team has put their two Stratasys 3D printers (both are typically used for weldment fixturing and chassis fixturing, among others things) to create headbands that will be attached to medical face shields for those on the frontlines.

Stewart-Haas Racing Transports PPE to Hospital System
Stewart-Haas Racing repurposed two of its racing transporters (53-foot haulers that are usually used for transporting race cars to tracks across the country) to secure much needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)., picking up 2 million face masks and delivering them to Novant Health in Charlotte, NC - thus allowing the healthcare system to replenish its supplies and ensuring its frontline team members remain protected.
