As a part of our Global Projects network, the ACN is one of five Application Centers strategically located to serve customers in all corners of the world. All five Application Centers (located in China, India, Germany, the U.S., and Brazil) follow a standardized, global process in order to produce consistent, high-quality customized products or solutions.
Engineered software solutions
Our Engineered Software team at the ANC is a group of experts with years and years of firsthand industry experience. With full access to Atlas Copco equipment and the ability to share resources and knowledge with other Application Centers around the world, we can develop custom software solutions for advanced data management, error-proofing, and process control. The team is also equipped to develop hardware requirements for data collection. The Engineered Software team has done SQS modifications to create production registrations that communicate barcode information to plant systems, they’ve created interfaces to external equipment that cannot talk to tools on the line, and much more.

For every custom software solution, the Engineered Software team at the ACN modifies or develops, the project is completed through a globally standardized process. This process is consistent and closely followed by our teams in all five Application Centers. The ACN is also certified in ASPICE – level 2, which refers to an automotive software performance improvement and capability determination. We’re quite proud of this achievement.
For Atlas Copco’s Application Center in North America, being certified in ASPICE – level 2 means that we have a standardized framework for defining, adapting, and evaluating our processes for software development in the automotive industry. Within this industry, ASPICE is quickly becoming a common standard to provide a more controlled software development process.
