Atlas Copco’s TrueAngle is an advanced tightening strategy feature that was previously only available on the cabled Tensor STR nutrunners. Now available for the Tensor ICB and Tensor ITB integrated controller tools, TrueAngle utilizes an integrated gyroscope to measure the influence of an operator and compensate accordingly by subtracting or adding values during a tightening.
In addition to compensating for the influence operators will inevitably and unintentionally bring to a tightening, TrueAngle is also able to detect common tightening errors. Assembly errors that can be discovered by TrueAngle include missing or incorrect components, crossed or damaged threads, and more. TrueAngle on the Tensor IxB tool family with integrated controllers brings production to new, completely error-proofed levels.
As stated above, the Tensor IxB family of tools are Atlas Copco’s first battery tools with a tightening controller integrated directly into them. Because of this, Tensor IxB tools are also the first battery tools to allow for custom Multistep strategy to be configured and saved without the need for a separate, physical controller. Atlas Copco’s Multistep is a tightening program configuration tool that allows users to easily create advanced tightening strategies that can be completed in several highly configurable steps.
Multistep is optimized so that each step in the Multistep program can be configured individually to complete the tightening in one single trigger pull. In addition, Multistep strategies can be created on the Tensor ITB and Tensor ICB tools to replicate other common tightening strategies, such as Reverse programs, Two-step tightenings, Joint Conditioning tightenings, and Torque and Angle strategies.
