Functionality Management System (FMS)
The great effort, time and cost involved in rebalancing a production line can be greatly reduced if a good part of the tooling system can stay in place. This can be done with the PowerFocus 6000 because the Functionality Management System, which networks all of the controllers in a plant, allows individual instances of licensed functionality (like TurboTight® and TrueAngle®) to be moved around to different controllers at different stations where it is needed. You can test functionality prior to commitment, purchase only what is needed and just move the functionality when the time comes.
Use fewer torque arms and reaction devices
The less hardware needed at a station, the easier it is to set up and to move when the time comes to rebalance. Fewer torque arms and devices also means less restrictive movement for the operator. TurboTight® reduces the reaction force felt by the operator at the end of a rundown. TrueAngle® assures that the actual angle installed in a joint is reported. Both of these strategies reduce the need for costly and restrictive torque arms and reaction devices, all while contributing to better ergonomics and higher quality.
